These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of houstonppi.com and the inspection services provided by Houston PPI ("we," "us," or "our"), a mobile pre-purchase vehicle inspection service operating in Houston, Texas. By booking a service or using our website, you agree to these Terms in full.
Houston PPI provides mobile pre-purchase vehicle inspections in the Greater Houston, Texas area. Our services include visual, mechanical, and diagnostic inspection of used vehicles at a location provided by the customer. Inspection services are available in the following packages:
All bookings are made through our website at houstonppi.com and require full payment at the time of booking. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. A booking is confirmed only upon successful payment.
By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, including our refund and cancellation policy.
Vehicle unavailability: If the vehicle becomes unavailable before the inspection takes place, you have 24 hours from your scheduled inspection time to transfer your booking to another vehicle at no additional charge. After 24 hours, the booking is forfeited.
Same-Day bookings: Same-day bookings may be canceled for a full refund only if the cancellation request is received before the inspector is dispatched. Once the inspector is en route or on-site, the service is non-refundable regardless of outcome.
Inspector dispatch: The service fee covers inspector time, travel, and expertise — not the outcome of the inspection. If a vehicle fails inspection or is found to have significant issues, no refund is issued. The inspection report itself is the deliverable.
By booking an inspection, you confirm and agree to the following:
Houston PPI is not responsible for any costs, losses, or damages arising from inaccurate information provided by the customer.
If upon arrival the inspector is unable to locate the vehicle, the vehicle is unavailable, the seller refuses access, or the vehicle cannot be verified, the inspection fee is still considered earned and is non-refundable. The customer may use the 24-hour transfer policy in such cases.
Houston PPI performs visual and diagnostic pre-purchase inspections. Our inspections are opinion-based assessments performed at a point in time and are not a guarantee of a vehicle's future condition or reliability. We are not liable for any defects, failures, or issues that arise after the inspection is completed.
Our inspections do not include disassembly of components, removal of panels, or any procedure that would alter the condition of the vehicle.
Our services are available for passenger cars, light trucks (1500-series and below), SUVs, and crossovers. We do not inspect:
Houston PPI's total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the inspection in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, vehicle purchase decisions, or repair costs discovered after purchase.
Our mobile inspection service covers the Greater Houston, Texas metropolitan area, including but not limited to: Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Pearland, Pasadena, Humble, Cypress, Spring, Friendswood, League City, Baytown, Conroe, Missouri City, Stafford, and Richmond. Service availability outside these areas is at our discretion. Contact us to confirm coverage.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. You agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us first before pursuing any legal action.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
